Evashia Hello everyone! Finally i have released my second single "NJOO NAMI" on myspace, im also working on uploading it on Youtube which may take few more days ( just as a reminder for those who are not familiar with myspace(www.myspace.com/evashia), you need to have adobe software in order to listen to it, I’m working on several other options to make... it flexible for everyone). Simply known as Evashia, is a Kenyan pop, R&B, and dance hall recording artist. Born in USA and raised in Kenya, she has never enrolled music schools until when she moved back to USA in the year 2006. She went to school In St. Anne’s Mumias, Ntinda View College, Kampala Campus, then moved to USA with her family. Evashia is from a family of five siblings; 1 brother and 3 sisters, all living in USA now. She realized she had many opportunities in music which has always been her passion since a child. She enrolled In Portland Community college, where she took most of her vocal lessons. Besides vocal lessons, she is also taking piano and guitar lessons hoping that sometime in future she will be a great songwriter and a composer too.
She has been performing in several bands in Portland, OR until then, she decided to start working on her solo music career. “Finding a good producer in the US is usually really hard, especially in situations where it’s a diverse culture,” she quotes; “until when I met up with Leo Cern from Europe who just blew me away with his production”, (considering the fact that he is not African at all ) Leo Cern is a Producer, songwriter and a composer. Evashia’s dream is to become a living legend to the next generation. So far she has released her new singles “Njoo Nami” and “Leave,” which can be found onwww.myspace.com/evashia and also on her Facebook fan page; evashia musician/band. She is now working on her other singles that will be out very soon. Hopefully by January 2011 she will have her full album out and visit East Africa to do some shows.
